Bisoca Traditional Cottage Bisoca Traditional Cottage

Small mountain traditional cottage built in 1910th from wood and clay with wooden shingle roof by Senchiu family. The head of the family fought in World War Two and was part of the Anti-communist Resistance .

The cottage is built in a traditional style and decorated with old traditional art, handmade tools and textiles (flax, wool). It has two double bed rooms, one kitchen and one bathroom. The heating is made by two wood stoves. (We provide fire wood during winter)

The kitchen is provided with gas cooker, kitchen sink and refrigerator and opens to a porch where in the summer you can serve breakfast. (which is one of the two separate entrances)

A large corridor connects the rooms and opens into the main large wooden porch from where you can admire a terrific view. If wanted, we can make the necessary arrangements ( with our local neighbors) for you to have a tasty home cooked dinner, with traditional natural food like: branza (cheese), carnati (sausages), pastrama (sheep pastrami), ciorba (stock) and specific drinks (palinca, tuica) .

We can also provide the needed information for trips in the surroundings: the lakes, monasteries, salt river, peaks, muddy volcanoes

Whether you are looking for adventure in the mountains or a peaceful and relaxing time with your family this cottage is ideal for every holiday you would like to spend in the nature.
